Endless poetry by Shiv,His every line having befriend with huge amount of painful, and his pain was truly countless, but he did it sweeten by his momentous craft by written poets, let’s give our tiny glance to Shiv’s biography:-
The famous poet Mr. Shiv Kumar was born on july 23,1936 in Bara Pind Lohtian now situated in Pakistan(Punjab). His family shifted to Gurdaspur District(Punjab) after the India-Pakistan’s partitioning, and where his father resumed his service as a Patwari and also there Shiv received his fundamentally education.
Shiv passed his matriculation examination in the year of 1953, from the Punjab University and after that he enrolled himself in the F.Sc program at Baring Union Christian college in batala, before the completion of his degree he shifted to S.N. College, Qadian where he taken admission in the Arts program, however he discontinued this study too also in the 2nd year.
Now it is the time when he started to sing ghazals and songs for his classmates. and thus Shiv never attend the final exams. In the meantime, he met a girl named Maina at Bajinath’s fair. after some time he returned back to meet her in her hometown, but he heard a painful news of her death and then Shiv relief himself by wrote ‘MAINA’.
This time he written so many decorous poems for his first love. afterwards some time he again filled in the love with the daughter of Gurbaksh Singh . but this affair had again got its ending very summarily. Because she married with someone else and moved to US. When Shiv heard the news of birthing her first child, Shiv wrote ‘Main ek shikra yaar banaya’,this is the one of his never ending poems. And when her second child taken birth somebody asked a question to shiv that whether he would write another poem for her second child then shiv revert him that its my responsibility not to write poems on her every child. Shiv expressed this wording in punjabi( mai ohda thaika lya hoya ? Oh bacche banai jai te mai ohde te kavita likhda rava?).
In the early time of the year 1967, Shiv got married to a Barhmin girl Aruna belonged to Kir Mangyal in Gurdaspur district and later they got blessed by birthing the two childs, Meharbaan (1968) and Puja(1969) whom he loved hugely. And then he had shifted to Chandigarh, but chandigarh as well as batala became soulless for him. Chandigarh brought eternal and unending famous for Shiv, but Shiv facing criticism in this time also, Shiv given his exposure regards this in an article named ‘My hostile critices’. In the meantime Shiv was going to down in health everyday because the disease of epilepsy, and while shiv was in a store at chandigarh’s(section 22), he had a serious attack.
In the commencing time of 1970, Shiv came to Bombay for taking participation in a literary conference. There is also a story for his trip to Bombay for his outrageous behaviour……………………………………….
